Flange is a disc-shaped part, which is common in pipeline engineering, and flanges are used in pairs. In pipeline engineering, flanges are mainly used for the connection of pipelines. In the pipelines that need to be connected, various flanges are installed. Wire flanges can be used for low-pressure pipelines, and welded flanges can be used for pressures above 4 kg. Add a gasket between the two flanges and fasten them with bolts. Different pressure flanges have different thicknesses and use different bolts.
The main functions of the flange 1. Connect the pipeline and maintain the sealing performance of the pipeline; 2. It is convenient for the replacement of a certain section of the pipeline; 3. It is convenient for disassembling and checking the condition of the pipeline; 4. It is convenient for the sealing of a certain section of the pipeline.
Stainless steel flange: Flange is also called flange or flange. Flanges are parts that connect pipes to each other and are connected to pipe ends. There are holes on the flanges, and bolts make the two flanges tightly connected. The flanges are sealed with gaskets. Flange is divided into threaded connection (wire connection) flange and welding flange.
Carbon steel does not have special alloying elements added, and stainless steel is a steel with high alloy content added for rust prevention. Stainless steel is far more expensive than carbon steel. These two types of steel have different uses and are not comparable. Carbon steel is usually stronger than stainless steel, but it is easy to rust. Common classifications of carbon steel include hot-rolled, cold-rolled, galvanized, silicon steel, rebar, wire rod, angle groove, etc.; the main categories of stainless steel are 200 series, 300 series, 400 series, 500 series, 600 series, 900 series, etc.
The difference between carbon steel flanges and stainless steel flanges is that nickel, chromium, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, and other alloying elements are added to the stainless steel flange. In addition, not all stainless steel flanges will not rust, and only under the conditions allowed by various stainless steel materials can they not rust or prolong the rusting time.
